As in design, buildings don’t build themselves. Just as in the pre-construction phase of the project owners and General Contractors are at a disadvantage in evaluating contractors and contractors proposals, it is also the case, maybe more-so, that during construction owners or GC’s need keen eyes who are looking out for their interests. The Design Firm can act as an owners representative and can support the construction efforts by performing on-site, in-progress reviews of the work, and in overseeing the commissioning activities as the systems are brought on-line. Additionally, The Design Firm is able to arrange for and oversee independent testing and verification, review close-out submittals, and provide training to ensure that the required owner training is effective.
